Meet Our Instructors

Kim Leake

Kim is the owner and full time piano instructor for Lifesong Music Lesson, with studios in east Knox county and west Knoxville. With over 40 years of  experience, she teaches her students with a strong foundation of theory and technical skills. She has a lifelong passion for music and enjoys igniting her passion in her students who range in ages from 3 to 60+.  She has recently expanded her student base to include Preschoolers utilizing the Wunderkeys Piano curriculum.  2021 was a year of changes for all of us but one of the best results was the addition of virtual lessons as an option for students.  Kim's students enjoy the creative teaching approach she offers including game based theory.

Kim lives on a farm in east Knox county where her family raises cattle and goats.  She loves to entertain family and friends and playing with her 3 year old grandson. When her teaching schedule allows, she can be found rejuvenating on a sandy beach somewhere.

Alyssa Hatcher

Alyssa is excited to begin her journey as a piano instructor with Lifesong Music Lessons.  She is a current student of over five years with Kim Leake.  Alyssa has participated in the National Federation of Music Clubs festival for four of those years in the Piano Solo, Hymn and Theory Events, scoring consistent Superiors.  Alyssa has a passion for worship music and hymns and enjoys playing piano with the youth praise band at her church.  Her mission is to share her love of music with her students and to engage them in a fun and interative lesson.  When Alyssa is not playing piano she is clogging with her competitive clogging team, The Tennessee Hoedowners.  She also enjoy sewing with her local 4-H group.
